Marinas to visit on a Langkawi Yacht Charter

If, however, you like to call in at a marina or two during your Langkawi yacht charter, then there are marinas located at the Royal Langkawi Yacht club, Telaga Harbour and also Rebak marina which is on the small island of Rebak. There are also other smaller marinas dotted around the island, which tend to be part of resort developments, which can offer all the amenities of first class resort hotels, in addition to the yacht services on offer.

Royal Langkawi Yacht Club

On a Langkawi yacht charter the award winning Royal Langkawi Yacht Club marina is a great stopover. It is located on the south-east corner of the island in Kuah, the main town on the Langkawi, in a large sweeping bay, where you can enjoy superb views across the sea towards the island of Pulau Dayang Bunting.
It has over 200 berths now compared to the 44 berths it opened with in 1996! The marina has excellent access to the town centre due to it’s close proximity, where there are plenty of duty free shopping opportunities and many other facilities.
Many super-yacht owners visit the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club as the berths can fit yachts in of up to 60 metres long, and has a low tide depth of 3 metres.
All the pontoons have access to electricity, fuel and water. It is also possible to take advantage of the wireless internet service too. Other amenities include 24 hour security, laundry facilities and a small convenience store. The clubhouse offers a swimming pool and a couple of restaurants and bars.
So the Royal Langkawi Yacht club is definitely worth a stop on your Langkawi yacht charter, especially if you want to restock your yacht and also have an explore of the town.

Rebak Marina

Rebak Marina is a first class marina situated on the secluded and privately owned Rebak Island, around 5 km away from Langkawi. It is part of the Rebak Island Resort which is managed by the Taj Hotels, Resorts & Palaces Group. It is situated in a beautiful secluded harbour which is well protected from the elements as it offers a no wake harbour which is easily accessible.
The marina has around 185 berths and can accommodate boats up to 30 metres long. The facilities include recently upgraded amenities and electricity, fuel, water along with 24 hour security. There is also a swimming pool with a bar, plus a bar and lounge where you can enjoy all day dining with a superb view of the straits. Rebak Marina also has a range of repair facilities and a dry dock and is therefore popular with long-term charterers, but is also a great safe place to leave your yacht if you want to explore some of the interior of the island.

Telaga Harbour Park

Telaga Harbour is a lovely safe and sheltered harbour that has transformed from a small fishing village to offering up to 50 berths and full marina services for many a visiting yacht on a Langkawi yacht charter. This Mediterranean-themed harbour village is easily accessible by both road and sea, and is a fabulous place to enjoy relaxing in the many cafes during the day. At night the small town comes to life with live bands playing on the sidewalks and pubs and shops open to welcome visitors. The Marina offers many facilities, including landing docks, fuel dock, bar and lounge facilities, showers, and wifi.

So if you want to restock, refuel and explore some of Langkawi by foot then there is a good choice of marinas available to you on your Langkawi yacht charter.
