Smart Packing – What to take on your sailing holidays in Thailand

So you have booked your catamaran charter in Phuket, tickets and passports ready…what do I need to pack? Here are what we think are your top 5 essential items for a sailing holiday in Thailand.

  • Our Catamarans in Phuket, are very comfortable and stylish, but as with all cabins on a yacht they are compactly designed, therefore we suggest you bring soft, foldable luggage so you can store them away whilst on your yacht charter holiday.

  • Don’t forget your camera as there so many outstanding areas of natural beauty that you will want to photograph and video for those everlasting memories. It’s also a good idea to bring a waterproof bag to carry your camera in, keeping it safe and dry when taking ashore in the dinghy.

  • Sunscreen – The average temperature in Phuket ranges from 27-29 Degrees Centigrade depending on the time of year, with an average of 9 hours daily sunshine in April. So don’t spoil your holiday, apply plenty of suncream, wear sunglasses and a hat too!

  • On sailing holidays in Thailand, you don’t usually get mosquitos on your yacht, but onshore you may find them around so bring your insect repellant.

  • For Children – for very young children on a yacht charter holiday it is a good idea to bring all necessities such as feeding bottles, formula, wet wipes, nappies and any of their favourite toys. However some items can be purchased at the yacht charter base in Phuket.

So with the essentials all packed, there’s nothing left but for you to have a fabulous time sailing around this beautiful country!
