One of Simpson Marine’s main goals is to help to make the process of yacht ownership simple and accessible, allowing owners to relax and begin enjoying their yacht as fast as possible. With this in mind, Simpson Marine has developed its brand new yachting partnership investment programmes to help potential owners achieve just that, whilst also enjoying a good return on their investment through charter income.
A long background in the charter market meant that it made perfect sense for Simpson Marine to establish a programme that would make investing in a charter yacht a financially appealing prospect for potential owners. The new Simpson Marine Charter Yacht Ownership Programme officially launched in 2017 at the Singapore Yacht Show. The Programme caters to those wanting to enjoy time on their yachts without any of the worries or time-consuming demands of daily yacht operations, while also allowing owners to capitalise on their purchase with charter bookings to ensure an attractive yearly Return On Investment (ROI). This exciting new initiative has benefitted from the recent appointment of Reanna Wang as Charter and Yacht Management Business Development Manager, with Wang based in Hong Kong where she is focussed on growing the size and reach of Simpson Marine’s already large and varied charter fleet.
Owners choosing to join this new programme will be able to enjoy up to 12 weeks a year on board their yacht, while committing their yacht to 60 months within the Simpson Marine charter fleet. “With Simpson Marine’s proven charter record and the growing popularity of Asia as a charter destination we are confident that yachts joining our programme will achieve over 20 weeks of charter a year in Phuket, ensuring a good return on investment for owners,” says Reanna. The benefits of this new programme are plentiful, including up to 14 per cent ROI and the benefit of professional management services that will ensure that participating yachts are impeccably run and maintained at all times. As well as removing all the hassle from yacht ownership, with all the day to day decisions taken care of, yacht management ensures that yachts are kept in peak condition and thus retain their value over time. Other assistance on offer includes help with the yacht charter registration process under the Thai charter flag and the provision of a selection of suitable insurance plans. Owners will enjoy further benefits with the programme offering VIP concierge services including airport pick-up/drop off, yacht provisioning prior to arrival and a customised itinerary for their time on board. Overall, this offering provides an incredibly appealing package for owners considering purchasing a yacht to operate in the charter sector but not wanting to spend the time and effort required to maintain and run a successful charter vessel. Making the decision to buy an even easier one, financing of up to 70 per cent is also on offer from Simpson Marine’s EPOWER yacht financing division.
A good choice of yachts suited to this charter programme are on offer, including several popular Lagoon models together with other motor and superyachts. “The Lagoon 450F and Lagoon 42 are particularly good options on offer as they are some of our most popular charter yachts and would likely prove extremely profitable for owners,” says Reanna. Both of these Lagoon models boast huge amounts of on board space thanks to their large beam and volume, with beautiful exterior styling and spacious interiors for guests to enjoy.
The new programme has already proved popular with customers of Simpson Marine, with several clients joining the programme and beginning to enjoy all the benefits on offer. “We allow a more personal approach with our schemes and provide flexibility for owners to use their boat as much or as little as possible ensuring a good income and a well-cared for yacht at the end of the programme,” explains Richard Allen, Group Sales Director at Simpson Marine. With such an appealing offer to customers of Simpson Marine the new programme is set to grow exponentially over the coming years, while playing an important role in growing the numbers of charter yachts operating in Asia. “We are very proud to be working on initiatives that make yacht ownership so accessible,” says Reanna. “We look forward to hearing from our customers and helping them choose their perfect yacht.” Contact Reanna at [email protected] to consider your own partnership programme.
