Guest testimonial: Lagoon 40 in the Similan Islands/ New Year

Our trip to the Similan and Surin islands, north of Phuket, was an absolutely amazing experience.

The charter boat, a Lagoon 40, was in good condition (only one year old) and was well equipped and spacious – we had five on board, including the chef and skipper. Simpson’s Charters service was very efficient and friendly and Julia, our contact person, was prompt and helpful in responding to our queries. Our onboard chef, Kum, provided us with the most delicious three course meals (one of the many highlights of the trip) and our skipper was experienced and knew the area well. Because of the size and maneuverability of the catamaran, he was able to take us to some of the most beautiful, pristine beaches and snorkeling areas we have ever seen. The array of sea life and coral was magnificent. The only negatives were that the one toilet stopped working early on in our trip and the water maker did not function effectively. The skipper was however able to change the filters which helped to a certain extent. Despite these minor inconveniences, we would highly recommend Simpson Yacht Charter. We can truly say that this was a holiday in a lifetime and we would definitely book again through them again.
