MYANMAR, 4-7 DAYS
Day 1: Marina (Kawthaung or Ranong) to Hastings Island
Arrive at the marina to join your yacht and quickly ease into relaxing life onboard with a delicious lunch before setting sail for Hastings Island. This beautiful island boasts stunning beaches where yours will be the only footprints in the sand.
An easy cruise will take you to Lampi Island which marks the start of the marine national park. Pay a visit to an authentic ‘sea gypsy’ village where you’ll be welcomed by friendly locals. Village children will swim out to your yacht to wave farewell as you depart.
Keep making the most of this beautiful part of the world with a visit to a nearby long white beach. Enjoy a relaxing brunch on the beach, warm waves lapping at your feet, and later take a tender through a mangrove forest. A three-hour cruise will then take you north to your evening anchorage, a tiny bay surrounded by forest. Why not go ashore and enjoy a short sunset hike to truly take in your surroundings?
Buy newly caught lobsters from a local fishing boat – seafood doesn’t get fresher than this. Head out to Pila Island, a peaceful spot inhabited only by monkeys, and enjoy a barbeque as night draws on. You will be dazzled by the night sky filled with stars, unspoiled by any manmade light.
Visit Macleod Island, an ideal spot for divers with incredible underwater life to view. Non-divers can enjoy an onboard Thai cooking course, taught by an authentic chef. Visit the local village for some traditional fare, before enjoying an evening swim in the beautiful waters.
Start making your way slowly back to the mainland, departing early to enjoy the cruse towards Zadetkyi Island. Enjoy a farewell party on board, with the sounds of the jungle as an incomparable backdrop.
Day 7: Marina (Kawthaung)
A short sail will take you back to your marina. Bid farewell to your yacht and take memories of a lifetime with you.
